Lancaster Career & Technology Center
The Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) Student of the Month program recognizes outstanding students from each campus—Brownstown, Mount Joy, and Willow Street—for their achievements in academics, technical skills, and personal growth. This program celebrates students who exemplify the values of responsibility, perseverance, and professionalism, aligning with LCCTC's mission of preparing students for successful careers and lifelong learning.
It is important to note that not every month features an award recipient from Elizabethtown Area High School, as students from all participating school districts in Lancaster County are eligible for this recognition.

Gabrielle McNitt

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces that Gabrielle “Gabby” McNitt has been named the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) - Mount Joy Campus Student of the Month. Gabrielle, daughter of Michael McNitt of Bainbridge and Jennifer McNitt of Elizabethtown, is being recognized for her leadership, strong work ethic, and commitment to the Introduction to Health Careers Program.
Gabby’s nomination comes from Jessica Drager, LCCTC instructor, who describes her as a respectful, engaged, and motivated student who consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to her learning. According to Drager, Gabby arrives prepared for class each day, completes her work thoughtfully and on time, and asks insightful questions that reflect both curiosity and dedication to the healthcare field.
Gabby’s leadership is evident in her daily interactions within the classroom. She was recognized by her peers as a leader during Marking Period 2 and regularly supports her classmates by offering assistance and contributing positively to the learning environment. Her willingness to help others and assist her instructor without being asked reflects both initiative and professionalism.
Her enthusiasm for healthcare is further demonstrated during guest speaker presentations, where she consistently asks meaningful questions about career pathways and expectations in the field. Gabby’s school spirit, positive attitude, and genuine interest in healthcare set her apart as a student who is both engaged and future-focused.

Daryn Roush

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces that senior Daryn Roush has been named the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) – Willow Street Campus Student of the Month. Daryn, the son of Todd Roush and Kelly Danner, both of Elizabethtown, is being recognized for his outstanding leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence in the Welding Technology Program.
Daryn’s nomination comes from Mr. Nicholas Horn, LCCTC Welding Technology instructor, who describes him as a “natural leader” in the classroom and lab. According to Mr. Horn, Daryn frequently takes charge of group projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. His strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude set him apart, making him a role model for his peers.
In addition to his technical skill, Daryn demonstrates admirable character and volunteerism. When classmates struggle with an assignment or welding technique, he does not hesitate to pause his own work to offer guidance. His willingness to help others contributes to a supportive classroom environment, and his instructor notes that he is consistently a positive presence in the program.

Alicia Pruitt

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces that senior Alicia Pruitt has been named the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center (LCCTC) – Mount Joy Campus Student of the Month. Alicia, the daughter of Luciana de Andrade of Elizabethtown, is being recognized for her exceptional leadership, strong work ethic, and outstanding commitment to the Advanced Health Careers Program.
Alicia’s nomination comes from Ms. Erin Maddox, LCCTC Advanced Health Careers instructor, who describes her as an exceptional student whose positive attitude, resilience, and professionalism stand out daily. According to Maddox, Alicia consistently demonstrates respectful and constructive participation in class, serves as a role model to her peers, and shows remarkable personal and academic growth.
Alicia’s dedication extends beyond the classroom and into her clinical work, where she has earned high praise from her co-op and internship supervisors. She recently received a notable commendation from an ICU supervisor for her quick thinking and calm response when assisting a patient who began seizing during clinical rotations. Her instructor notes that Alicia handled the situation with maturity, confidence, and sound judgment—qualities that reflect her strong potential for a successful healthcare career.
In addition to her clinical accomplishments, Alicia is recognized as a class leader whose professionalism and outstanding work set a high standard for others. Her perseverance, even in challenging situations, demonstrates her commitment to learning and her passion for the healthcare field.
