These organizations are initiated and directed by students and are not sponsored, funded, or endorsed by the District.

These groups:

• Must be student-led and student-directed. District employees may be present only in a non-participatory capacity for supervision and safety and may not lead, direct, or regularly participate in meetings.
• May meet during non-instructional time, including before or after school or during designated non-instructional periods, in accordance with District procedures.
• Do not represent the District and may not be promoted as school-sponsored activities.
• Do not have access to district funding, activity accounts, or school-sponsored transportation.
• Must comply with District policies regarding use of facilities, communication methods, and student conduct.
• May not be directed, conducted, controlled, or regularly attended by individuals who are not district employees.

Participation in these groups is voluntary and independent of the District’s curricular and extracurricular programs.

Access to facilities and communication channels for these organizations shall be provided on the same terms and conditions as for other noncurriculum-related student groups. The District does not deny access to these groups based on the religious, political, philosophical, or other content of the speech at such meetings, in accordance with applicable law.
