Graduation Requirements

Elizabethtown Area High School requires students to earn 24 credits and meet the criteria listed below to graduate. Students who have met the graduation criteria by the end of Semester 1 of their senior year, may choose to graduate early. 

• English - 4 credits
• Social Studies - 3 credits (Government and Economics Required)
• Mathematics - 3 credits 
• Science - 3
• Physical Education - 1
• Health - 1
• Career and Finance .5
• Electives - 8.5

In addition, Act 158 of 2018 outlines pathways to graduation for all high school students. Students that attain proficiency on the three end-of-course Keystone Exams will have achieved the statewide graduation requirement. There are other pathways to graduation for students that do not require a proficient score on state assessments.
